Here's a poem I'd like to share with you , just some thoughts of mine.....

The world is such a confusing place I'm not afraid to say,
I wonder if I'll ever understand it all some day.
We're on this Earth together but there is a huge divide.
Imagine what we could create if we were unified.

Children would be innocent and grow in love and care
Knowing that no matter what they'd all have someone there,
Be treated with respect and shown love and true affection,
Secure in school and given its unyielding safe protection.

People's mental health would be supported by us all,
There'd be no shame or stigma, they'd be able to walk tall
To share their thoughts with confidence and learn that there is hope,
Knowing that there'll come a day when they will truly cope.

There'd be no drugs like heroin to reap so readily,
We'd see the world recuperate and improve steadily.
No-one would use alcohol to numb a troubled mind,
They would reach out and realise that people can be kind.

Women would live safely knowing they would feel no harm
And walk about at night without a handheld rape alarm.
They'd wear their clothes of choice and would not be given fault
Or made to feel that somehow they deserved the shamed assault.

Those who put the lives of others first would be admired,
Their work of helping others would be thought of as inspired.
For millions of people that they treat and they support
They would have decent wages and their corner would be fought.

People wouldn't judge folk on the colour of their skin,
They'd live in peace and harmony, equality would win.
They'd see beyond the shell that supports the soul inside,
Receive each other honestly with arms open wide.

You may this is just a dream which is so unrealistic
But I think that it's better to be hopeful, optimistic.
If only we could pull together with determination
And stop all the injustice for the future generation.
